Teacher & staff appreciation week at OHE!

Help us celebrate our wonderful teachers and staff! Here is what we are planning for the week for all 100+ teachers and staff:

• May 7th-10th we will have a tables set up in the garden and front entrance for parents and kids to fill out appreciation cards for teachers and staff
• Monday – May 13 – Appreciation Cards & Lanyards. Appreciation cards filled out by students and distributed by the PTA to teachers and staff
• Tuesday – May 14 – Breakfast
• Wednesday – May 15 – Catered Lunch and Lunch Recess Duty (caregivers take over teacher lunch and recess duties)
• Thursday – May 16 – Savory Snacks
• Friday – May 17 – Sweet Snacks

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week is May 13-17 at OHE this year. Please help us celebrate the 100+ educators and staff at OHE by signing up to bring something to the school and help take recess and lunch duty off of their list of responsibilities for a day (sign up below) , and having your children fill out appreciation cards for our teachers and staff.

Postcards are coming home soon so your kids and/or you can write or draw a note to a special teacher, specialist, or staff member. Please encourage your kids to fill at least one appreciation card out! There is a box in the office for kids to put completed cards and pick up additional cards.

We want to make sure all our amazing staff and educators, not only the fabulous classroom teachers, get celebrated during this week. Our school has amazing physical education, music, math, literacy and art specialists, our librarian, janitorial staff, administrators, office staff, language immersion specialists, bilingual instructional assistants, family advocates, occupational therapists, playground and lunch supervisors, our lunchroom manager and staff, family services coordinators, counselors, so many more! All of these people play a part in the daily education and well-being of your children. Please consider an additional appreciation postcard to these educators and staff that play a HUGE role in our community and your children’s school days!
