Otters’ Week of Giving

Dear Families and Friends of Olympic Hills Elementary,

The Olympic Hills Elementary PTA is committed to supporting all Olympic Hills students. We do this in so many ways. We fund mini-grants to teachers and staff to pay for everything from headphones to the Dia De Los Muertos celebration. We distribute free Otter Gear for students. We organize and fund school-day enrichment experiences such as Animal Encounters and The Pacific Science Center’s Science on Wheels, and provide art history lessons through our PTA Art Docent program.

To best serve our community, we keep the financial asks of our families low and rely heavily on volunteers and grants from outside sources. In order to provide this level of support to our students, teachers, and families, however, we do ask just once a year for financial donations.

We are a 501(c)(3) and your donations are tax deductible. If your employer provides donation matching, we would LOVE to receive their match to increase the impact of your donation. Here is a list of companies that operate locally who match donations. Every dollar raised will go directly to supporting our students, teachers, and staff.

Here are some examples of how your financial contribution to the PTA could help our school. Every donation helps enrich our school community.

• $5 buys a student an Otter Gear t-shirt to help them feel connected to their school community
• $15 gives a student a Memory Book to remember a year of friends and accomplishments
• $75 helps bring enrichment activities like science experiments and dance/theatre performances to the school for all to enjoy
• $100 allows the PTA to reimburse teachers for classroom supplies through our Teacher Allocations Program
• $200+ supports the PTA Mini-Grant Program to fund culturally responsive events, diverse books, supplies for the Art Docent Program, PE equipment, and MORE!
