This is a great opportunity for parents to hear from and ask questions to our local elected officials from the 46th legislative district. This is also an amazing opportunity for our students to attend and hear our elected politicians speak and for the kids to ask questions that are of concern or interest to them! Getting kids involved in advocacy and politics at a young age is invaluable for their education understanding of how our local democracy works. We are so lucky to have this opportunity for them! Senator Valdez and Representative Pollet will be in attendance. If you do not think your child would like to listen or be involved, there will be a fun Kid’s area they can hang out in while you participate.

This event is sponsored by many of our area PTAs and other community groups and their school communities have been invited to attend. It will take place in the Ottertorium (cafeteria) at Olympic Hills Elementary on May 31st from 7-8:30pm. Please submit questions ahead of the meeting if you can. This will make the meeting more streamlined and help the organizers make sure they touch on topics of concern to our local school communities. Submit questions to OlympicHillsPTA@gmail.com

We could also use a few more volunteers to help this event run smoothly. Check out the links below to find the sign up sheet for volunteers as well as more info on the politicians that will be in attendance. We hope to see you there!
