Jane Addams Middle School is the new middle school located at 11051 34th Avenue in North East Seattle where all* students from Olympic Hills Elementary will attend, including current 6th and 7th graders. Starting Fall 2014, JAMS will be in the building that currently houses Jane Addams K-8. Since these two names are so similar, this post is intended to clear up a bit of that confusion.
Starting Fall 2014, Jane Addams K-8 will move to their temporary location at John Marshall near Green Lake for 2 years while their new building is built where Pinehurst K-8 is currently housed. At some point in that process, Jane Addams K-8 will have a new name becuase the Jane Addams name stays with the building. To distinguish between the two schools, on this website, Jane Addams Middle School will be referred to as JAMS and Jane Addams K-8 will be referred to as JA K-8.

* the only students from Olympic Hills who won’t attend JAMS are those who choose to opt into another school and are admitted.
