DESCRIPTION:Before the first day of school\, we invite all incoming Kinder students to attend OtterGarten\, our optional Kinder transition program.  \n\n\n\nStarting Kinder is a big step. OtterGarten helps children become familiar with their new school before the first day. It also helps families know what to expect. Students attend two half-days with our Kinder team. There are no academic expectations during OtterGarten. The goal is to help children feel safe\, welcome\, and ready for Kinder. Breakfast and lunch are provided each day.   \n\n\n\nDuring OtterGarten\, students will:  \n\n\n\n\nMeet Kinder teachers and school staff. \n\n\n\nVisit their classroom and other parts of the school. \n\n\n\nPractice school routines. \n\n\n\nMeet other children. \n\n\n\nFeel more comfortable at school. \n\n\n\n\nOtterGarten Schedule  \n\n\n\nMonday\, August 24  \n\n\n\n\nFamily Playdate = 5:00–5:45 p.m. \n\n\n\nLocation = Olympic Hills Blacktop \n\n\n\nFamilies are invited to meet\, play\, and get to know one another. \n\n\n\n\nTuesday\, August 25   \n\n\n\n\nStudent Session = 9:00–11:30 a.m. \n\n\n\nLocation = Olympic Hills Kinder Classrooms \n\n\n\nFor Parents: Please join us in the library from 9:15–9:45 a.m. for a short information session.
